Flotex & Modular Carpet Tiles
Trouble vacuuming Flotex, Carpet Tiles and Carpet Planks? Vacuum Flotex Carpet Tiles now with ease.
Vacuum Cleaners for Flotex as recommended by Forbo Flooring Manufacturer
Flotex is unique compared to other soft textile floors because of its fibre construction. By combining a high-density flocked surface with a heavy-duty resilient foundation Flotex offers the best of both worlds in terms of performance and comfort.
Forbo the manufacturer of Flotex recommends using a dual motor upright vacuum with a rotating brush like the SEBO BS or Dart Series. Make several passes with the vacuum cleaner to ensure that all loose dirt is removed. The brush should be approximately 1/8” below the vacuum cleaner casing to ensure proper agitation. Make several passes with the vacuum cleaner to ensure that all loose dirt is removed. Vacuum action should be fast forward and slow backward.
Vacuum Cleaners for Carpet Tiles and Carpet Planks as recommended by Flooring Manufacturer
Commercial flooring manufacturers such as Godfrey Hirst, Victoria Carpets, Signature Floors, Ontera, Interface Flor agree that vacuum cleaner performance will directly affect the longevity and presentation of the commercial carpet. Vacuuming should be undertaken using a quality vacuum cleaner with a power head, preferably with dual motors (one motor powering the brush to agitate pile and the second motor providing strong suction).
Soil particles, silica and sand can damage carpet fibres through abrasion, wear and discolouration. Soiling is a cumulative process which, if left unaddressed, cannot easily be reversed.
Frequent and thorough vacuuming with the right vacuum cleaner for the floor type is the most important component of a comprehensive carpet maintenance program, as it is the most effective way to minimise soiling, prolongs the life, enhances the appearance of the carpet and improves carpet hygiene. Vacuuming should encompass slow, deliberate passes in length and width for maximum effectiveness. The slow movement will allow time for air to circulate through the carpet and extract soil. Several passes should be made over each area to ensure effective removal of soiling material, particularly in heavy traffic areas.
Vacuum cleaning should be carried out in accordance with the procedures given in AS/NZS 3733

Which Vacuum To Choose?
It is recommended that the following equipment be utilised when vacuuming Interface product:
Commercial top loading upright vacuum with twin motor and rotating cylindrical brush.
Vacuums must have tools that can access edges and hidden areas. A requirement for vacuum filtration systems according to Australian Standard AS/NZS 3733-1995 is that vacuums must be capable of filtering 97.5% of dust to 0.5 microns.
Vacuum bags should be disposable.
It is important to note that Backpack vacuums and battery operated vacuums are not recommended and using these pieces of equipment may damaged your floor and void your flooring warranty.
Anti-Allergy / Asthma
When air quality matters choose SEBO.
Whether for home or work, SEBO vacuum’s clean the floor but they also enhance the air!
IN THE HOME: Creating a healthy home can help you and your family breathe cleaner, fresher air and potentially reduce allergic reactions or allergy-related asthma attacks.
Dust seems to be more prevalent nowadays and more people are starting to suffer from allergic reactions. According to the National Asthma Council Australia, around two out of five Australians have allergies, including most people with asthma.

In The Workplace
The air quality within these spaces affects our health as well as the heath of our work colleagues, visitors, patrons and residents within premises. Indoor air can have much higher concentrations of some pollutants and different health risks than outdoor air.
High levels of particulate matter pollution can be detrimental in sensitive environments such as Health and Aged Care settings where hygiene standards are high and good indoor air quality is paramount.
Poor IAQ has also been reported to affect educational results in school classrooms and reduce workplace productivity.
With SEBO the air is cleaner.
Asthma | Allergy | IAQ | SEBO Vacuums + Floorcare
With regular use, our SEBO vacuums help improve indoor air quality (IAQ) by removing common sources of allergens found within premises such as dust particles, mould spores, dust mites faeces, pet hair from domestic cats and dogs, pet dander, plant pollen and VOC’s.
When air quality matters choose a SEBO vacuum for asthma and allergy sufferers and those with respiratory conditions and compromised immune systems.

High – Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA)
SEBO machines are the perfect choice to help you live better by improving indoor air quality.
HEPA – what is it?
Vacuums equipped with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration trap fine particles. European manufacturers use the term S-CLASS on their models.
S-CLASS Filtration
Only high-quality filter material is used in combination with an excellent sealed vacuum cleaner casing achieve the requirements of SEBO S-CLASS filtration. To meet the S-CLASS standard the filtration system has to remove a minimum of 99.97% of particles of 0.3 microns. The SEBO S-CLASS system will remove 100% of particles of 1 micron and above. Dust mite faeces are approx. 10 microns. This method ensures that the fine dust particles stay in the closed vacuum cleaner system. Every SEBO bag has a convenient hygiene lid to seal the bag after it is full – no dust will escape.
Electret Filter Material
Other than usual filtration systems, the SEBO S-Class filtration takes place by using the principle of electrostatics. Several charged micro fibres block the opposite charged particles. This allows a relative open structure that favours the air stream and at the same time lowers the chance of plugging. The result is a much smoother and long-lasting filtration.
Why Bags Are Best
The SEBO filter bag system not only enhances filtration, but it also allows you to hygienically dispose of collected debris. Dust becomes airborne very easily and will almost certainly contain hazardous material such as dust mite faeces, mould spores and pollen. With a SEBO sealable high filtration bag, dust is safely retained within the filter bag and can cleanly and easily be disposed of in the bin, inside or outside. For allergy sufferers the SEBO filter bag protects you from the risk of re-exposure to dust and allergens.
