I am amazed at the plethora of choices available - upright, canister, filtered, extra-large bags,
and even bagless. Yep, a vacuum cleaner without bags. It sounded like a good idea in theory.
There are some things that I definitely like about the bagless vacuum cleaner, and other things that drive me crazy. Here are some pros and cons that I have encountered. Your experience may differ.
Pros:
It's convenient because you don't need to be concerned about running out of bags. You can see into the canister so you can judge when to clean out your bagless container. It's supposed to be a bit cheaper because you don't need to spend more money buying new vacuum cleaner bags.
Cons:
The dirt containers in most bagless vacuums have a much smaller volume hense the need to empty more than the average paper bag type vacuum. most bagless vacuums work best when the bagless dirt container is near empty as the pleated filter bagless design vacuums get reduced air flow quicker than most, so you end up cleaning out the bagless container every hour or so of use, the replacement bagless filter cartridges are normally replaced anually which may end up being more expensive the buying papber dustbags, the products life expectancy is less for a bagless vacuum on average than a
good quality paperbag vacuum cleaner.

this style of filter once dirty, works poorly after the first 10-15 minutes till the dirt particles having restricted the airflow thru the pleats in the filter are cleaned very regularly.
NEW PROGRESSIVE FOAM
INLET FILTER.
this style of filter works well for a longer
period as the dirt particles arnt causing as much restriction due to the dust particles
have been separated from the airflo prior
to contact with filter surface. the foam pre filter works to lessen the airflo restriction.
